Where the original former Tobacco Factory entrance once was, a new structure will be built, maintaining the role of “gateway” to the Technopole: a new courtyard building will be host to the new headquarters of ART-ER - Attractiveness Research Territory, the Consortium company which fosters the region's sustainable growth by developing innovation, attractiveness and internationalisation. ART-ER acts as a coordinator with regards to the redevelopment of the area and attracting opportunities for research and establishing collaborative networks and partnerships.
Biobanks of the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute - IOR, avant-garde laboratory spaces will also take up residence in the building, where the Institute will carry out research related to life science studies.
